European Union

Every participant at Expo 2025 Osaka had one official day in the spotlight. 

For the European Union, that day was Europe Day on 9 May 2025. 

Bringing together the official ceremony, artistic performances and activities across the Expo site, it became one of the largest and most diverse programmes of the EU Pavilion. A complex undertaking, made even more challenging by the fact that it took place less than a month after the Expo had opened.

• Special screenings of European animation short-films 
• Special readings, performances and illustration workshops of “Tales of Europe” 
• Pop-up performances of the brass quintet of the European Union Youth Orchestra 
• Special Europe Day light-ups of EU pavilions
