Belgian Beer Weekend
First of all, let’s set the record straight; BBW stands for Belgian Beer Weekend! The BBW idea started in 2010 when we were approached to think about some promotion activities for Belgian beer in general. When we launched the Belgian Beer Weekend in Tokyo at the posh and upscale Roppongi Hills Arena, we strongly felt that we'd better not make it the usual beer guzzling and sausage stuffing fest... We definitely wanted to be different, and backed up by a few Belgian beer importers in Japan, we created an all-embracing concept for an outdoor experience foremost about -guess what?- Belgian beer (150 beers in 2016), food and music. What started in 2010 with 15,000 visitors in Tokyo has grown more than tenfold to 200,000 visitors, spanning 8 cities in 2016! How much we like to drink beer, we never expected the Belgian Beer Weekend to grow so big and become the major quality outdoor beer event in Japan.
