In 2008 and 2009 the Dutch Embassy in Japan was celebrating a lot: 150 years of diplomatic relations and 400 years of trade relations with Japan. A lot of reasons to work out a great series of festivities to bring the promotion and marketing of the Netherlands in Japan to unseen heights. We fixed the concept in January 2008, attracted a number of sponsors (11 to be precise) and executed a series of events to create buzz and plenty of networking opportunities. Some of the highlights were the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Theo Jansen, Oranda COW Art and a promotional collaboration with Let’s Enjoy Tokyo
