Brussels Days
The “Brussels Days” is a promotion event to show the world what the city of Brussels -the capital of Belgium and the EU- has to offer. After showcases in Madrid, New York, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, London, Washington DC, Beijing and Milan, the city of Tokyo was chosen for the Brussels Days 2016 (16 – 20 May).
We were asked to help “Brussels” with a number of their events, coordinate marketing & PR and get the real Brussels Flower Carpet to Tokyo. Under the professional green guidance of the flower carpet team of Brussels, 30 volunteers spent about 10 hours to put the petals of 12,500 chrysanthemums and 19,120 roses meticulously together to create the very first real Art Nouveau inspired Brussels Flower Carpet in Tokyo at Roppongi Hills Arena.
On 18/05 the flower carpet was officially “unveiled” in the presence of Rudi Vervoort, Minister-President of the Brussels-Capital Region and Yoichi Masuzoe, Governor of Tokyo (… at that time).
